WHEN I first came across Josie Maran’s Argan Oil, I was quite sceptical about its multiple beneficial effects. This 100 per cent organic oil comes from the Morrocan valley’s Argan trees, where it is well-known for its healing and soothing effects when applied to various skin conditions and diseases. Another fad miracle solution I hear you cry? Can this really solve acne, split ends and dry cuticles all in one swift wipe?
The natural ingredients are rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids make it a good choice for those who suffer from dry skin as well as those with oily patches. Unbeknown to me, my mother (who has perfect skin) has long been a huge fan. Having tried many different face moisturisers, the main advantage of the Argan oil is that it is light and quickly absorbed by the skin. The anti-oxidant qualities of vitamin E delay the natural aging process and maintain skin’s elasticity and healthy glow.
However, having suffered from acne in my teenage years, I rarely try new products off the counter. But then again, (and I say this with honesty and conviction), the Argan oil is not just a beauty product. It is, in fact, a medical treatment; particularly in mild to severe cases of eczema and psoriasis. A friend of mine admitted that she applies it on cuts and wounds as it speeds up the healing process. It is also made up of entirely organic ingredients and is fragrance-free.
Now, my skin not only looks and feels healthier, but I have begun to discover a range of additional beneficial effects. I carry the oil with me all the time, using it on everything from split ends to my constantly dry cuticles. And if just like me, you are difficult when trying new products, the environmentally friendly nature Josie Maran’s Argan Oil is alone a reason enough to buy it. Sold in a recycled packaging, the Argan oil comes in a fully recyclable glass bottle and box, which also consists of 100 per cent consumer fibre. The beauty company is not only conscious about the environment, but about the Moroccan community as well. Josie Moaran pays special attention to the local social and economic welfare, sourcing the oil from women’s cooperatives in Morocco. After the women in my life recommended it to me, I can happily recommend Josie Maran Organic Oil to you for its multiple uses and healing qualities.
