Fake Tan Test: Sun Kissed Sunlight Bronze Mousse

Jordan McDowell is left buttered up and bronzed with this easy-to-use mousse

Fake Tan Test: Sun Kissed Sunlight Bronze Mousse

Tanning product: Sun Kissed Sunlight Bronze Instant Self Tanning Mousse

Price: £3 p/250m bottle.

Consistency:

Made of a light bubbly vomit green coloured mousse, Sun Kissed is as easy to apply as you’d like. Circular motions will spread the mousse evenly and effectively. The guidelines on the pump bottle advise to use your hands. I ignored this (not wanting 'Sunlight Bronze' palms and nails) and opted for a mitt. I would advise that you do the same, the coverage is always better.

Hair factor:

Sunkissed MousseSunkissed MousseAt first glance the product looks as if it might not handle a little body-bush, the bubbly mousse reacting to the hair as if it were an irritant and making a fairy liquid mess on your chest. However, after a little buffing and waiting, the colour will transfer evenly. Just don’t panic. Unless of course, you're a lady, in this case you might want to think about waxing.

Streak factor:

Hands are notorious for being the site of bad streaks but this mousse is good at getting an even coverage in the most treacherous of terrains. Elbows, knuckles and cracks are all accounted for and well covered. In general, streaks are not apparent. I put this down to using a tanning mitt instead of my hands. It is far more civilised anyway.

Aroma:

A very sweet, almost butter cream smell - not at all unpleasant. It should remind the wearer of summer holidays and ice-creams, either that or the fumes are toxic and I was hallucinating.

Longevity:

Sun Kissed is made for easy application and to wash off with the same ease. Good for a special day or a night out but expect to have to reapply.

Tan out of ten?

Sun Kissed does exactly what it says on the tin, and this feisty one will go a little further if you let it.
