SmoothShapes Review – Part Two

IT’S four weeks down the line and I have successfully completed my eight SmoothShapes treatments at DestinationSkin in House of Fraser, and I’m rather delighted with the results. 

I’m often quite sceptical about the latest beauty fads and fixes but this non- invasive cellulite treatment really does work. 

The Smoothshapes treatment works on any part of the body where you suffer from cellulite, (I chose to have the backs of my legs treated).  The magic lies in passing a laser and suction pipe over the skin simultaneously to target and break down that troublesome orange peel. 

It’s relatively painless, (at worst it’s as painful as a deep tissue massage) and there’s no down time required between treatments.  Each treatment lasts twenty minutes and the machine only adds up time when the laser is actually in contact with the skin to ensure that you get the full twenty minutes of lump busting.   

The only side effect for me was a few small bruises which came out in between treatments - a small price to pay for perfect pins.  On a couple of occasions the girls followed the treatment by applying a moisturiser with cinnamon in it to keep the heat from the laser in to maximise results. Drinking lots of water and taking a bit of exercise can also help.

I really noticed a difference after my fourth treatment and the results continued to get better with every treatment after that.  The back of my legs are visibly smoother and feel a lot less lumpy. I’m much more comfy in my bikini because of it. 

By the time I jumped on the plane to Ibiza all my wobbly woes had disappeared.  The treatment (as the names indicates) gives you a smoother silhouette, which is something we all strive for. I’m already thinking about booking back in to have the front of my legs and stomach done in time for my summer holiday.
