Myfaceworks
MyfaceworksMyfaceworks' ‘I Need to Wake Up’ (£42.50) masks are one of my summer beauty essentials. Super convenient, these vitamin C soaked masks work a treat at pepping up pallid, jetlagged skin. Each box contains six individually packed, no-mess masks with holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth already cut out. Just pop it on, lay back for 15-20 minutes et voilà! – a bright, refreshed complexion. Other masks available include ‘I Need to Bring Out My Youth’, ‘I Need to Detox’, ‘I Need Damage Control’, ‘I Need the Works’, ‘I Need to Open My Eyes’, ‘I Need to Heal’ and many more. Perfect for when you’re on-the-go.

The Organic Pharmacy
The Organic Pharmacy Self TanAs with all skincare products I review, my boyfriend and I spend weeks trialling them before I put fingers to keyboard. There’s quite enough hyperbole and unsubstantiated claims out there already without me adding to them. British brand The Organic Pharmacy, however, remains one of the most consistent and reliable performers on the market and they’ve really nailed it with their self tan – it’s sublime. Free from artificial preservatives, colourants, fragrances, and petrochemicals, it’s been developed using a unique Ecocert-approved DHA.
They recommend you apply three times a week for a radiant healthy glow; however, I recommend you use it no more than twice a week as its superior formulation means a little goes a long way. (£23.91 for 100ml)

REN
Ren Starter Kit For Sensitive SkinI’m a big fan of REN products. And it seems REN products like my skin, too. Their No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm (£30 for 150ml) is currently going down a storm with my skin, with my mum recently commenting, “That’s the best condition I’ve seen your skin in for a long time. Hell’s bells, it’s glowing!” So perhaps it should come as no surprise that this sublime cleanser has already earned itself a place in my Cleanser Hall of Fame; works a treat at melting stubborn eye makeup too. Free from petrochemicals, sulphates, parabens, synthetic fragrance and colours, glycols, silicones, T.E.A., and D.E.A., REN blows the major cosmetic counter brands out of the water and is gorgeously pleasurable to use too.
If you want to get a taste of their products, however, their Starter Kits are the best place to start. Their ‘Starter Kit for Sensitive Skin’ (£23 for 85ml) contains trial sizes of their Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk (25ml), Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream (15ml), Omega 3 Night Repair Serum (10ml), Frankincense Revitalising Night Cream (15ml), and F10 Smooth and Renew Peel Mask (15ml). Perfectly sized to carry in your hand luggage, these products will see you through your summer hols (providing your partner/friends/family don’t get their hands on them).
Finally, I can’t mention REN without raving about their Neroli and Grapefruit Body Wash (£15 for 200ml). Zingy, refreshing, summery and free from nasties, this luxuriously gentle shower never fails to lift my spirits and make my skin smile.
Buy one for £15 or stock up and buy three for £40.50 direct from www.renskincare.com.
This Works
This Works Daily Boost Body ScrubI’m aware I mentioned This Works in part one of this feature, but they’re well deserved of a second mention – particularly their über-handy Travel Kit (£45) which contains an in-flight travel bag comprising a practical zip-up case and special detachable clear inner bag – very handy indeed.
With trial sizes of their Enjoy Multi-Tasking Lotion (30ml), Clean Skin Daily Wash (30ml), Fresh Skin (5ml), Turbo Balm (10g), and Stress Less (10ml), This Works’ Travel Kit also provides a snappy introduction to their gorgeously packaged products.
Their sparklingly scented Daily Boost Body Scrub (£18 for 200ml) with grapefruit and tourmaline and Ecocert-approved crushed Bamboo will also ensure your skin is in tip-top holiday condition. What’s more, all the tubes and inner plastic casing of their bottles are made from materials that are widely recyclable; so their products are better for your skin and for the environment.

Rodin Olio Lusso
Rodin Olio Lusso Blush Lip BalmLast, but by no means least, Rodin’s exquisite luxury Lip Balm (£22 for 5g) is what this beauty writer’s lips will be wearing this summer (and almost every other beauty writer and editor’s lips from the press coverage I’ve seen). A kissable blend of jasmine, orange flower oil, shea butter, beeswax, and castor seed oil it feels and smells luxurious and leaves a protective blush-toned sheen on lips. Beautifully packaged in a chic Lucite square compact, this is one of my natural beauty heroes.
