It's always pleasing to use recycled goods, but this particular idea is more than just a conscience clearer. It's clever.
Each bag is cut from used PVC banners or truck tarpaulins and so takes on colours and graphics in unusual and intriguing ways. There are many bag designs to choose from: totes, handbags, sports, courier, cases for laptops and so on.
It's so clever in fact, that Manchester International Festival is recycling their street advertising banners to make these limited edition bags. Available in several different shapes and sizes, every bag is unique, eye-catching and an environmentally friendly piece of the Festival.
The MIF range of bags are priced from £9.95. To order please visit bannerbags.co.uk

Errr, am I missing something or is this 'recycling' slightly out of sync? The festival kicks off today, 2 July, and runs a couple of weeks but the 'limited edition' street advertising banners have already being recycled into bags? Surely any truely recycled products shouldn't be available until a little while after the event is over?
