Whether you want to lose weight or just maintain a healthy balanced diet, the Daily Plate allows you to monitor the fat, carbohydrate, protein and calorie content of everything you eat.
After subscribing for free, you enter your age, height and weight followed by how many pounds (if any) you would like to lose per week. For example, if you're age 30, height 5'6”, weight 140 pounds and aim to lose one pound per week, the Daily Plate calculates that you should eat 1463 calories per day. It's also important to note that the Daily Plate will only offer realistic and safe weight loss goals.
You can then input your eating and exercise habits into the online diary. It's very quick as most foods and exercises are already listed in the library of more than 686,500 foods and 1,500 activities.
Part of the problem with trying to maintain a healthy, balanced diet is that often we don't realise how bad our diets are in the first place. This website will help you to monitor your habits, lose weight if you want to, and lead an overall healthier lifestyle.
The Daily Plate is part of cyclist Lance Armstrong's Livestrong website, which encourages people to take action to make the most of their life, their time, their body and their world. Sign up to the Daily Plate by visiting www.thedailyplate.com
