Red roses are so last year (and so expensive). Why not treat your Valentine to something a little different? The Hoya kerrii plant originates from Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
You can get a mini Hoya kerrii in a pot from Flowerstyle, Quay Street, Manchester for £7.50. It resembles a single heart growing out of the soil and over time it can duplicate and even flower, giving off a lovely chocolatey aroma. This can take a long time but like any good love story, it’s worth the wait.
The Hoya kerrii doesn’t take much looking after either. It likes plenty of sunlight, and minimal water and fussing. Ahh, if only relationships were as easy…
