FOLLOWING their ‘Made In Manchester’ special September issue the UK’s best selling gay men’s magazine hosted their annual Underwear Show in collaboration with Selfridges at Manchester’s Exchange Square Store. Kicking off Manchester Pride’s 21st birthday in style the show exhibited the best in gent’s knickers for the season.
The Selfridges menswear department was a hive of activity as drinks were in free flow and tan ‘technicians’ from Fake Bake were on hand to create bronzed gods. Blokes of all ages crowded around the catwalk to get a good view of the underpants (and for some, perhaps the models).
Briefs, trunks and swimwear were featured from the likes of Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Diesel, aussieBum and Orlebar Brown. Colour played a major part in the offer whilst the rule: ‘the tighter the better’ was true of the styles.
To close the show tribute was paid to the recent I Love Manchester campaign as the models came out wearing the campaign t-shirts.
