Recently, we haven’t seen quite as many headline hitting outfits from Lady Gaga. This might have something to do with the loss of her creative stylist or perhaps the Lady G costume team have finally started to exhaust their ‘ideas bank’ for absurd attire.
However, last week we did see the return of her legendary strange style as she stepped out from her London hotel in one of her more usual, unusual costumes. Admittedly this was one of her more demure ‘put-togethers’, comprising of a full length block aqua dress, tailing off at the bottom in fuscia pink. Atop of her head, Gaga chose a matching fuscia pink, decidedly sperm shaped fascinator. Certainly head turning head gear. Click here to view it.
2011 has been a strange year for fashion. Especially for far-out fascinators, championed not just by Lady Gaga, but celebs such as Katy Perry, Paloma Faith and Rihanna have also been pulling out the stops. The trend seems to be trickling down from your show stopping, performance celebs too; who could forget Princess Beatrice’s spectacle, which almost stole the show at the Royal wedding earlier in the year?
So, the jury’s out, ‘fashion-wear’ or ‘freak-wear’? Well the ladies mentioned above certainly have an element of both the fashionable and the freak about them, and love ‘em or hate ‘em they are guaranteed to be spotted amongst the crowd.
