The Confidential Challenge: for her (part 12)

I’m not usually one to be stuck for words, but this week I’m scratching my head a bit at what to wax lyrical about. At this stage it’s really more of my diary than an appraisal of new things that are happening, though that in itself is something to note. I have made a life change and this way is now second nature to me.

We’ve both been contemplating our exercise future. It is quite addictive but it is also very easy to fall out of routine so we’re going to keep Darren on. It definitely helps to have him to answer too and also to keep things interesting and new.

Training had gone back up to the intense level after last week’s respite but wasn’t really a hardship, as making time for exercise has become the norm. Similarly I haven’t got any major issues to overcome. I’m looking and feeling better and better but am sure you’re not tuned in just to hear that. I don’t do trumpet blowing very well either.

Slight detour from the plan occurred when I found myself, under duress obviously, on the way to a super scrumptious lunch over Liverpool way. Aiden Byrne’s now turning out his talent at Hillbark Hotel and Spa. Sublime. It was designated protein day. Let us however be real. There was not a sniff of me failing to inhale that offering. A six course fine dining food fest. Relished every morsel of it.

I was designated driver, so took great delight in scaring Gordo half to death on the way over there. He was actually making braking motions in the passenger seat. The devil inside me was laughing his head off. I then got to taxi the tipsy party, including our Liverpool editor and guest, back to scouseland and observe them imbibe a few more bevvies. It can be a bit testing watching people get steadily pissed when you are lime and soda’d out. Got back to Manc about 8pm and duly did my interval run session. Gold star for me. Well partial. Let’s gloss over the minor step off the eating wagon.

The fact I’d fallen foul of my food plan wasn’t something that overly concerned me. At this stage of the plan I could probably get away with the one off not endangering the final results too much. I just need to note this post challenge and not jump off on a regular basis. Temptation will be around every corner.

Darren, our trainer from Elite Fitness Training, was still keeping the exercise fresh. Boxing mixed with kettlebells this week. It appears I have an inner aggression. Love the kick-ass fighting action. Reckon I’m also a serious force to be reckoned with now with my extra strength. Bring on the double session next week with Mr Grimes.

We’ve both been contemplating our exercise future. It is quite addictive but it is also very easy to fall out of routine so we’re going to keep Darren on. It definitely helps to have him to answer too and also to keep things interesting and new.

Tick tock. Not long now until the unveiling. I’m dreading the before pics going up on here - muffin top immortalisation on the internet is not quite what I had in mind for myself. But hopefully the after pics will put them in the shade.

Read on next week to see how the last week goes.

If you have any kettle bells that you don't use anymore Chris, I'll buy an 8 and 12kg if you have them going spare?
