I graduated in July with the idea of going back home earning some money and going travelling while the recession tides over. I'm in paid work at the moment until Dec but then I have no job. My ideal job would be in fashion PR or working for a fashion magazine but I don't have any relevant experience and I am trying hardest to get a placement or internship but can’t get them with the lack of experience also they are all London based and I dont have enough saving at the moment to relocate although I would like to. I am saving my wages now but also want to move home soon and all my uni friends are in serious jobs and can't go travelling and I don’t want to travel on my own as I really want to go to South America. I feel very mixed up and frustrated in my situation as I can't stick to a clear decision to know what’s best for me!!! Any advice would be helpful thanks x
Just from reading your email, I can see how confused and unfocused you are feeling right now. You have talked of travelling around South America, moving home, working in fashion and PR and working on your finances - that's a heck of a lot to sort out. I'm guessing you're in your early twenties. It's still so young to truly know where your professional future lies. I have devised 4 action points for you to follow:
1 - Pick a priority and aim to just work on that for now. Trying to sort everything out at once will result in more confusion and a feeling of panic. If it's career then devise an action plan, brainstorming all the things you could be doing to achieve your goal.
2 - Put a time frame on it. Do you hope to achieve it by June for example?
3 - Get a friend involved. It helps to 'buddy up' when working on a plan. Pick someone you can trust and who won't judge you. This is where someone may use a life coach.
4 - Enjoy yourself. Rather than putting pressure on yourself see this as an exciting time where anything can happen. You have complete freedom now and many people will be so envious of that. Use this time to learn more about yourself, research and enjoy this 'self discovery' time. The 'answers' won't come overnight and things won't fall into place overnight. It all takes time, just ease up on yourself!
Hope that helps,
Jude

Are there any products that can help combat/cover the worryingly large pores on my face?
Cliniques Pore Minimisizer Instant Perfector at £13 is a fantastic concealer for covering and blurring the appearance of large pores, making them less noticeable, use before or after your foundation for great results.
