SKIING IS THE NEW DIET according to the Chill Factore in Manchester. It’s also the WAG way, apparently. Coleen Rooney is rumoured to be a huge ski enthusiast who doubles her time spent on the slopes during January and February in order to burn more calories after the Christmas binge. That’s 540 calories per hour for the average person skiing. That’s half your Christmas dinner. Or a Big Mac. Or two pints of Stella. Not bad for an hour’s fun on the slopes.

Morwenna Angove, Chief Executive at Chill Factore in Manchester said, “Skiing and snowboarding are fantastic fun ways to lose weight and really can help you to lose those extra pounds you may of piled on over the holidays.”

Spending just one hour on the slope each day during January could help you burn over 10,000 calories. For information on January prices at Chill Factore, click here.

IIJIN HIDDEN PLATFORM TRAINERS are now available at Unconditional in Manchester’s Triangle shopping centre. The luxury fashion label is the only stockist of the Korean trainer brand in the UK. Up until now, the platform trainers were only sold in Hong Kong, USA, Macau and China. IiJin was created by a Korean designer and provides fashion for men and women using only natural materials. The trainers include hidden wedged insoles between two and five inches inside to give the height of a heel in the guise of a trainer. Prices start from £100.

The design takes inspiration from the en-trend brothel creepers that have made a comeback for 2012. Click here to read about brothel creeper fashion.
