Voodou search for top hairstylist

VOODOU – the hair salon that boasts four branches in Liverpool - is looking for hairdressers to show off their talents and abilities in a special contest.

The Academy Competition, taking place on Monday 20 June from 6pm, will celebrate the city’s hairdressing sector.

More than 500 people are expected to attend the Contemporary Urban Centre event, which will provide guests with the chance to admire the standard of work taking place within the city and also motivate any promising future hairdressers.

Rob Webb, MD of Voodou, said: “After being in Liverpool for the past 35 years, we decided it would be great for the city, the business community and also for the local hairdressing industry, if we invited stylists of all levels, from a variety of different salons, to take part in one big event.”

The event also welcomes the general public and will include live demonstrations from Wella, GHD and American Crew. Trade leaders will be giving their expertise and there will be plenty of music, dancers and entertainment.
