70% off at King Street Clinic

We try out Strictly spa deal at this city centre clinic

70% off at King Street Clinic

King Street Clinic isn't one of the best known city centre spas but its reputation is growing fast, along with the size of its premises.

You get an anti-ageing facial, a back and shoulder massage, a hand and foot massage, and an Indian head massage for £59.99 (normal price is £199.99).

It's got an unassuming entrance, next door to Jones Bootmaker on the pedestrianised section of King Street. Up the stairs, you'll find two quiet treatment rooms and an elegant reception.

After the expansion it will also have a cosmetic dental surgery and another room for non-surgical procedures such as Botox. Longer term plans include a sauna, steam room and relaxation room.

We visited at the end of March to test-drive the massage element of the four-treatment offer they're running at 70% off for Confidential readers at the moment.

You get an anti-ageing facial, a back and shoulder massage, a hand and foot massage, and an Indian head massage for £59.99 (normal price is £199.99).

We skipped the facial element because of time constraints – it was the middle of a busy Thursday morning – and instead settled just for the massages.

Considering how stressed we were on arrival, with a big to-do list racing through our head, it was surprising how quickly we managed to relax into the massages.

The therapist we had, Yolanda from Lithuania, is a very skilled masseuse (and probably one of the reasons the clinic is doing well – repeat bookings make up a big chunk of their business).

She reached muscles in the shoulders, back, hands and feet that take a lot of strain but rarely get to fully relax. The result was invigorating and calming at the same time. The release of stress in your body is quickly followed by the same in your mind.

If you work at a computer, massages like this should be compulsory to keep you from developing a permanent (and achy) hunch.

The Indian head massage was equally refreshing. It left us with a feeling of waking up after a very deep sleep.

The 'anti-ageing' facial included in the offer uses rejuvenating products by Dermalogica. It begins with a skin diagnosis so that the therapist can tailor the facial to your specific needs.

If you're impressed (and most people are, hence the clinic's expansion plans) you can stock up on your own Dermalogica products – this package includes a 25% discount.

If you want to get a very cheap massage and facial package (a saving of £140) take advantage of this offer while you can.

To get this offer, you need to book before the end of April but you can take the treatments up until the end of August. Reserve yours now for just £20 – click here.
