What’s opened?

Aubin And WillsAubin And WillsAubin & Wills owned by Jack Wills has opened a store on King Street. Although more expensive, the store is a much needed addition to King Street, and is only a few doors away from it's sister shop.

In keeping with the college, preppy attire Hollister are to open a store in the Arndale, close to rivals Topshop, Oasis and River Island. Those not wanting to trek to the Trafford Centre will love the new city centre opening, next door to Yo! Sushi.

Also soon to be opening in the Arndale is street wear label and Pete Doherty favourite Gio-Goi as well as footwear specialists Jones Bootmakers.

High And MightyHigh And MightyHigh and Mighty recently sold to JD Williams, has opened up shop on King Street. Specialising in clothing for large and tall men, the store stocks sizes up to 6XL.

That’s Entertainment is the latest addition to Market Street. The store provides a much cheaper alternative to other music and DVD stores and sits directly opposite rivals HMV.

UnconditionalUnconditionalUnconditional is the latest venture to try its luck at the Triangle. The London fashion label already has a concession in Selfridges and the clean classic designs are bound to fit in with the Triangle too. The shop will be launching this week.

What’s closed?

Barton Arcade favourites The General Store closed down the other week due to the financial downturns. Fear not though, as the clothes are still available to buy online.

Both Wanderland and Woodchip have closed down their stores in Affleck’s’ Palace. Vintage favourites Wanderland have recently opened a shop on Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter however, to help fill the void of Affleck’s.
