Where is it?

History:
Simply Be was created back in 1999 as a catalogue that offered fashionable items for sizes 14-32. Their ethos is to celebrate curves and offer a wider variety of choice for women who are size 14 plus, women who are often neglected by the major high street stores.
Since its beginnings, the brand has gone from strength to strength, branching out with sites for Europe and the US. The only thing that was lacking was a presence on the high street but that is no longer the case as they’ve now opened their first fabulous store in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre.
What does it sell?
Obviously, the store sells clothing for women who are size 14 plus, but there is so much more on offer than just that.
There’s an amazing variety of clothing for every style and occasion. Alongside Simply Be’s own range there are a whole host of other brands available including Joe Browns, Zandra Rhodes and a new line from The Only Way is Essex’s Lauren.
The store also has a huge range of accessories on offer and a great range of lingerie. The shoes and boots were to die for and come in a variety of widths, including different calf sizes for the perfect fitting boots. The lingerie also offers a good range of sizing, with back sizes from 32-48 and cup sizes B-H (a breath of fresh air for those of us who struggle to find good bras on the high street).
Who shops there?
Judging from the launch, there will be a wide variety of women shopping at Simply Be. I think that as a brand they will start to attract customers beyond their loyal online fan base. Their clever take on current trends will have the pull for fashionistas and the large variety available will meet the needs of most women - whatever their shopping desires.
Why shop there?
Simply Be know how to flatter curves in a way that allows women to tap into fashion whatever their size, age or taste. Whilst in the store I spotted something for every occasion you can think of and more.
The attention to detail that has been put into the store itself is commendable, with one of the most luxurious changing rooms I have seen in a long time. Combined with the helpful staff with great product knowledge, they’ve created the perfect environment for shopping with friends at the weekend.
Future
With the next store opening in Bury on Thursday 6 October and plans for stores all over the country, including one in London, Simply Be is a force to be reckoned with. They will be filling a much needed gap in the British high street.
Verdict
It truly lives up to the brands slogan: ‘fashion without limits’.
